This set of four works for mixed percussion trios has been adapted with the younger players in mind. Rather basic rhythm patterns have been used and snare rudiments only go up to flams, paradiddle and simple rolls. A variety of dynamics have been included to add interest. 1. Yankee Doodle 2. March of the Men of Harlech These two selections were designed to match the skills of the 8th grade level students. Interesting parts are given to all players. The mallet part has been edited to avoid most cross sticking in rapid passages. The snare uses flam, paradiddle and easy rolls and the bass drum has mostly straight forward rhythm patterns.Should be of interest to students at this level.
